Description
I run several play-by-post games on a gaming forum site. This Battle Map was for Acid Reign, an 80's Action Movie-themed one set on a "Futuristic" Prison Island named Cadian's Keep. This particular Map was a situation where the players had to infiltrate an abandoned bank in order to claim the armored truck that someone had crashed into the front doors long ago. Grids like this allow me to place the characters and baddies in relative space to one another so that judging things like distance and line-of-sight are easier to illustrate during combat, thus also allowing for a greater amount of strategy and visual immersion.
The piece was made in GiMP by cutting, pasting, and layering images that I found and collected from the far corners of the web... none of these elements were created by myself from scratch.
